This option allows you to insert users and groups into your project without disturbing the security settings for the rest of your users. It also allows you to change the user's security role throughout the project. It is the best way for managing your project security settings.

Select the users and groups you would like to add to this SmartFolder. Holding down the <Ctrl> key will allow you to select multiple users and groups. Then select the security options you would like to add the users to.

Users

The list of users is displayed in the first box. This list only includes users that currently have access to the parent folder of the folder you have selected. This would be the folder that is one level above on the tree. To select the users that you want to add or change security, highlight their name by clicking on it. To select several names, hold the <Ctrl> key while selecting. To unselect a name, hold the <CTRL> key while clicking on the name.

SmartFolder Access

This is where you select the security role the user or group will be given. Only one role can be selected.

File Access

This is where you select the types of files the user or group will be added to. You have to option of selecting more than one of these options.

Change All Child SmartFolders

Through this interface, you have the ability to make the security changes on all sub-folders. For example, if you want to add one user as a General User to the current SmartFolder, you can have him added to all children SmartFolders and all of the files within File SmartFolders that are children as well. All of that through the one step provided in this interface. This trickle down effect of adjusting the security is the fastest and easiest method of making changes to your projects.
