Responsibilities:
The InQuest Technologies Quality Assurance group is seeking a Sr.QA Automation Engineer.The ideal candidate will have the experience and desire to first play a key role in the implementation of the InQuest Test automation initiative, and will subsequently maintain the automated test environment using HP’s QuickTest Professional automation tool.The Sr.QA Automation Engineer is also expected to identify opportunities to improve the development of the Quality Assurance automation processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
• 3+ years experience with QuickTest Professional (QTP)
• 5+ years experience QA testing in Complex Web–based applications with emphasis on API and Web Portal environments
• Proven track record of creating, implementing and maintaining a successful, effective automation framework and associated script repositories
• Ability to provide technical support/mentoring to the more junior-level QTP scripting resources on the team
• Experience working with Remote/Offshore contract resources a plus
• Strong knowledge of QA process and methodologies
• Ability to track progress and clearly communicate status to management
• Ability to create clear, concise defect submissions
• Ability to troubleshoot software defects and identify the root cause
• Ability to understand complex technical environments quickly
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Well versed with various types of testing in various environments
• Ability to interact with developers and understand technical design
