The Department of Inspections and Standards at the City of Providence sought to improve their processing of Building, Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical permitting.
In 2010, the City successfully implemented their “ePlan Review” application, powered by IQ:Enterprise™, which offers complete automation of their building plan review process. Looking to expand on the success of “ePlan”, the City has now automated all permitting requests through the implementation of the “ePermit” application, also powered by IQ:Enterprise™.
ePermit now provides the City of Providence with end-to-end automation for all phases of the permitting process; from online submission of applications, to electronic plan review, through automated inspection.
The City has achieved its objective of 50% reduction in permit processing time with additional efficiency and service delivery benefits under way.
