For several years, Con Edison has been using InQuest’s IQ:Enterprise v9 software to manage Engineering and Finance processes on their Public Improvement projects throughout New York’s 5 boroughs and Westchester. Every project is managed in the Public Improvement Engineering System (PIES) including all Engineering drawings, documentation, and appropriations processes. On the success of the existing deployment managing the Engineering phase, Con Edison is now expanding the footprint of their applications to include all internal company and external stakeholders involved in Public Improvement projects.
Expanding PIES will leverage the power of the new IQ:Enterprise v10 platform to configure additional applications for downstream processes, their enhanced Public Improvement Engineering, Construction, & Estimating System (PIECES) which will now include SmartApps for managing scope changes, tracking materials, resolving issues, requesting estimates, completing punch lists, and more. This total solution manages, normalizes, and automates the lifecycle of a proposed project in pre-engineering through engineering, pre-construction, construction, and close-out while tracking key milestone dates with all required documentation and project location mapping.
